Jenny Hubball - Young Leader of the Year 2016
Jenny is 17 and currently studying for A Levels but that doesn’t affect her commitment to her Christian beliefs or her church family at Chellaston Methodist Church. She supports the Sunday School leaders, encourages other young people, leads at holiday club and assists with the planning and running of Messy Church. Jenny’s skills really come to life in her leadership of the youth music group. A talented musician herself, Jenny took over the group when the previous leader left. She now liaises with the preacher to choose songs for the monthly all-age service, transposes parts for younger players and hosts and leads rehearsals without any support from “grown ups.” Jenny is readily able to articulate her Christian faith and is a great example to the other young people in the way she lives out her faith.
