Becca Willett - Youth Worker of the Year 2016
Rebecca is the youth worker at St Albans Church in Fulham where her care and love for the young people naturally reflects the love of God for them. She creates context and boundaries for the youth team to build trusting relationships with the teenagers, allowing them to share fun experiences as well as challenging them to be the best they can be. Rebecca is committed to prayer both for and with the young people, making it a regular part of their time together even though the majority of the group aren’t from a Christian background. She has also worked hard to establish the church as a key player in activities with the local authorities, resulting in a range of activities for young people on the estates, reducing antisocial behaviour and contributing to the safer neighbourhoods plans.
